The Tornado Field is a Pliocene oil discovery made by DGE III in 2016 in Green Canyon 281. The discovery well was drilled in a down dip position and encountered 291 TVD feet of high quality oil pay. Subsequently the well was sidetracked to an up dip take point and found 281 TVT net feet of oil pay. The well will be completed and tied back to the nearby Helix Ocean Producer. Production will commence in late 2016.
